Well it’s been exactly two weeks since Ryan and I drove the
car back to St. Louis, finishing up the most incredible adventure we could have
imagined for our post-grad. Things like showering regularly and not being
together 24/7 have taken some getting used to, but we definitely do not poo-poo
our comfy beds and climate controlled houses especially now that the weather is
getting colder. But of course the adventure can’t stop now.
While Ryan and I are still fit and immune to the cold, we’ve
decided to take up seasonal positions in ski country USA, back in the mountains
of Colorado. During the road trip we actually applied for our jobs, interviewed on the road, and found housing in Summit County. Our rational for this next adventure includes several key points:
- Our careers may not allow for us to live in tiny mountain towns in the near future, thus eliminating our dream of living in the mountains if not for these temp jobs
- We still don’t have many financial obligations that dictate where we can currently work or what wage we have to make (thanks again to our parents paying for our schooling)
- We ski like maniacs and our bodies (mainly our knees) might not have the capacity after retirement to ski like we do now
As I’m writing, the snow just keeps falling, it’s already
accumulated about 14 inches on our porch
banister. Mountains surround us and the thin mountain air makes me giddy. The road trip adventure might be over, but fun times and good memories are undoubtedly still to come.

Thanks for all your followership everyone! And don’t
hesitate to retrace our steps. We recommend the United States as one of the
best places to travel, citizen or no.
With love,
The Road Trippers.
